National novel-writing month starts soon

November is National Novel-Writing Month, more popularly known as NaNoWriMo. This is a madcap experience for writers around the world. The goal is to write a 50,000-word novel in 30 days. It can be done! It has been done in prior years by writers on Saipan and Guam.

If you want to write a novel, or any other book, there’s nothing like a deadline to help you get it done. Writers age 13 and older can join the worldwide online group at Writers under age 13 can join the Young Writers Program at . There is no charge to join.

Now is the time to commit to writing that book, to figuring out your genre, to exploring the resources at the NaNoWriMo website and online at YouTube and various author’s blogs. But writing must wait until Nov. 1, when the fun starts. (PR)
