In its ongoing efforts to further higher education in the Marianas, Pacifica Insurance is offering a $5,000 hole-in-one prize for the 16th Annual Northern Marianas College Foundation Open Golf Tournament scheduled for March 21.
The first lucky golfer who makes a hole-in-one at the LaoLao Bay Golf and Resort’s hole No. 4 on the east course will win the prize.
“NMC plays a vital role in the lives of our people and their education,” said Pacifica Insurance president Shirley Sablan. “They need our support now more than ever before to recover and rebuild in order to keep essential programs running, classrooms functional and facilities advanced. Golf for a cause or donate.”
Proceeds from this year’s tournament will go to helping NMC with its recovery efforts from Super Typhoon Yutu, which destroyed most of NMC’s campus in 2018.
“Pacifica Insurance’s contribution and steadfast support throughout the years reflect the company’s commitment to providing educational opportunities for CNMI students,” said NMC interim president Frankie Eliptico.
The 16th Annual Northern Marianas College Foundation Open Golf Tournament will have a showtime at 6am and shotgun start at 7am. The tournament will follow a medal play format.
First place winners in the men’s Championship, A, B, C, Senior, and Ladies Flights will each receive $500, while $300 and $200 will go to the second and third place finishers, respectively. Hole-in-one prizes also include a 2020 Kia Soul from Joeten Motors and a $5,000 hole-in-one prize from McDonald’s. The tournament will also feature many other items such as raffle prizes like smartphones, hotel stays, meals, and much more.
Registration and payment can be made at Laolao Bay Golf & Resort or the NMC Cashier’s Office. For sponsorship opportunities or registration information, visit marianas.edu or call 237-6833. (NMC)
