The Saipan Unity Lions Club led by president Yolanda Villavicencio inducted last Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021, the club’s new members and installed the new board of directors for Lion Year 2021-2022.
More than 135 guests attended the event, which was held at the Royal Taga Hall of the Saipan World Resort. Among those that attended were members of the seven lions clubs organization here on Saipan. Philippine honorary consul Glicerio “Eli” Arago and Lions Club and District 204 governor Lion Saturnino “Atoy” Banting were the inducting officials.
In a statement yesterday, the Saipan Unity Lions Club expressed gratitude to “all our special guests, fellow Lions, friends and family who were there at our event and showed the love and support to our club. We also thank all other fellow Lions [who were unable] to attend due to limited seats. Truly, [it was] a night where there [was] unity of all and support for each other and a goal of ‘service from the heart.’” (Saipan Tribune)
