San Nicolas: Zero tolerance for ‘ice’ use

Tinian Mayor Joey Patrick San Nicolas is reminding the island’s government employees that he has zero tolerance for illegal drugs, particularly methamphetamine or “ice.”

San Nicolas told Saipan Tribune that he has been very consistent in his stance against illegal drugs and has had conversations with employees and potential employees about his zero tolerance policy.

“If you want to work for the public, then you must adhere to the rules. And one big rule is no use of illegal substances particularly crystal meth,” the mayor said.

He said many people have lost their savings and fortune because of addiction to “ice” and other problems associated with the use of meth.

“My message is this: Do not violate the law. Do not use crystal meth. If you are caught, you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” he said.

The Department of Public Safety, in conjunction with the Department of Finance’s Division of Customs K-9 Unit, recently conducted recently a three-day Highway Criminal Interdiction Patrol on the island.

Besides the “ICE” the gambling on the poker machines and Casino.

Joey if you are actually serious about the drug use you would bring some people over from the CHC and drop a drug test on every one of the Govt employee starting with DPS then your office on down the line.
Keep your mouth shut about this plan, do not tell anyone even the people to take the samples. Only tell them what supplies they will need but not the plan until they are in place.

Assemble ALL Govt. personnel at one time at the Multipurpose Center and have them line up. (Best clean up the CR first)

You know as well as so many other people know, just who are the crackheads and drug users and dealers.
For year, starting with DPS selling drugs out of the DPS vehicles (and taking orders in the dispatch and fire Dept.) along with the rest of the Govt. agencies.

The Mayors office used to top the list (next to DPS. That is why this supposed “crackdown” was done starting on a weekend so the Govt workers would be off and also forewarned.
    All show and talk.

    So make action not talk.
