The Saipan Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Golf Tournament will be held on Aug. 8 at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort.
Next month’s competition is a fundraiser with proceeds going to fund the SSC Scholarship Program.
The tournament will have a two-person scramble format and cash prizes will be given to the winners in the Low Gross and Double Peoria categories.
With restrictions in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic, organizers will only accept the first 110 players to register. Early bird entry fees are $110 for SCC members (will go up to $130 if registration fees are paid after Aug. 3) and $120 for non-members (will be $140 after Aug. 3).
“After assessing our current climate, our board of directors decided to move forward with the golf tournament as this is our primary fundraiser for the SCC Scholarship Program. Students need financial support now more than ever, so we are going to do our best to raise money for scholarships,” SCC said in a press statement.
SCC also welcomes sponsorship for the golf tournament and can be done by contacting Maxine Lazlo at email@example.com or call 285-7739.
