BEEF, BEER & BANDS FESTIVAL
Star Marianas offers promo for first 100 Tinian travelers
Tinian’s first-ever Beef, Beer & Bands Festival kicks off today at 5pm at the Tinian Fiesta Grounds in San Jose Village and ends on Sunday, Aug. 15.
The festival—created to highlight Tinian’s local beef, its cattle industry, and the recent U.S. Department of Agriculture certification of Tinian’s Kualidat Meat Processing Center—will feature live entertainment from the winners of the recent Hafa Adai & Tirow Summer Jam and others; a Tinian Top Chef Competition where cooks submit their best dishes using Tinian beef for judge evaluation; beer garden; roasted cow display; and a raffle.
To entice Saipan residents to visit the festival, the Office of the Mayor of Tinian and Aguiguan collaborated with Star Marianas Air, Inc. to provide a special promotion for the first 100 passengers who book a flight to Tinian this weekend, at a cost of just $45.50 round-trip for each traveler. Those wishing to see if they can avail of this promotion can do so by calling SMA’s Reservations Department at (670) 433-9996.
For live entertainment, Tinian has brought on Sugar King, Groove Theory, Blue Wave, and other performers. On top of the cooking competition, the festival will feature a raffle that has a grand prize of a live cow donated by the Tinian Cattlemen’s Association. Consolation raffle prizes will be distributed throughout the duration of the festival as well. Festival-goers can purchase a set of six raffle tickets for $5.
There will be an opening ceremony for the festival and the Tinian Top Chef Competition on Friday from 5pm to 11pm; and a Bento Box Competition, beer garden, and roasted cow display from 10am to midnight on Saturday. The final day of the festival on Sunday will run from 10am to 5pm, and will feature the drawing of one lucky winner of a live cow. There will be live entertainment on all three days.
COVID-19 Task Force guidelines will be implemented during the three-day event.
