“Not so quod I, let baser things devise
To die in dust, but you shall live by fame:”
—Edmund Spenser, Sonnet 75, born 1552, died 1599, buried in Westminster Abbey
My Reign is a Fabric of Lies
My reign is one big lie and I like to fire,
anyone who goes against my callous grain
will be dismissed if it be my desire
as harder grows the concrete inside my brain
why is it that a stable genius like myself
is not loved more? Those Democrats seem so cold
I earned much more money working by myself
and feel my great accomplishments haven’t been told.
They’re the best in American history and must be sold
though I’m the best liar all my bling must be known
when lies are revealed they will be found great and bold
this way my great and legendary legacy will be sown.
Such is the power of tweets in my brilliant mind
my base with foresight changes back to being blind.
Donald’s Dejection: An Ode Implodes
“Late, late yesterday I saw the new moon
With the old Moon in her arms;
And I fear, I fear, my Master dear!
We shall have a deadly storm.”
—from The Ballad of Sir Patrick Spens,15th century
Well! I’m the stable genius who bigly made
my number one sycophant VP Mike Pence
my campaign flounders, objectives make no sense
tax lies continue as does my emolument trade.
My conscience devoid of empathy and quite clear
my stubborn intelligence lacks passion and grief
I swear, throw temper tantrums, shed not a tear
fake news cuts me no slack and gives me no relief.
Obsessive narcissistic thoughts are in my mind
my reality is a dark democracy dream.
I tweet out insults and many other things unkind
the nation reads them, takes notice and starts to scream.
I give it my middle finger and flip it a moon
and keep on sucking my inherited silver spoon.
