U17 National Team overpowers Kanoa FC

The U17 National Team overpowered Kanoa Football Club, 4-0, last Sunday during the Marianas Soccer League Fall 2022 Division A game at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.

From the get-go, the Nationals secured the ball in their favor, with Cody Shimizu taking advantage and scoring in the third minute. Kanoa tried to weave and bob through their defense but the U17 had their ground covered tightly.

Markus Toves scored the second goal in the 16th minute for a 2-0 lead. The Nationals took a breather until they were energized once again, with Paul Lizama scoring toward the end of the first half.

Philip Megino scored the last goal in the 47th minute without retaliation from the opposition.

Tan Holdings FC 5, Eleven Tiger FC 1
Tan Holdings Football Club slinked past Eleven Tiger Football Club, 5-1.

Isaiah Lagutang found the back of the net in the third minute, with teammate Isiah Hossain following up in the seventh minute.

It was a battle on the field for more than 10 minutes when finally, L.J. Fleming Jr. scored the lone goal for Eleven Tiger in the 23rd minute for a 2-1 game.

The Tigers, however, couldn’t keep up the momentum as Jireh Yobech of Tan Holdings extended the lead further in the 25th minute.

Lagutang completed his third goal hat-trick in the 51st and 79th minute for the fourth and fifth goal for the team.

Shirley’s FC 3, WNT Development Team 0
Shirley’s Football Club silenced the WNT Development Team, 3-0.

Jack Phan of Shirley’s scored two goals—one in the 11th minute and one in the 50th minute.

Teammate Carl Salas scored the third goal.

Matansa 2, Old B Bank 1
Matansa scored one more goal over Old B Bank, 2-1.

Gabriel Arkoh Jr. along with teammate Garret Weaver scored the two goals for Matansa.

Rex De Jose scored the lone goal for Old B Bank.
