GUAM—United Airlines launched a special 55th anniversary fare sale on its direct routes to Japan from Saipan and Guam, only two weeks after announcing its flights to Japan will significantly increase during the summer travel season.
This special fare offers Basic Economy tickets beginning at $455 to commemorate United’s 55 years of service in Guam and Micronesia, which United is celebrating now through 2024.
“As we celebrate United’s 55th anniversary in Guam and Micronesia, United is saying thank you to its customers, friends, and family in the region for choosing United,” said Sam Shinohara, United’s managing director of Airport Operations, Asia-Pacific. “As the proud hometown carrier in the region, we enjoy our important job of connecting our customers to the world.”
Customers in Guam can book this special fare immediately for all routes between Guam (GUM) and Japan—Narita/Tokyo (NRT), Chubu/Nagoya (NGO), Kansai/Osaka (KIX), and Fukuoka (FUK). Customers on Saipan can book travel to Japan on United’s nonstop service from Saipan (SPN) to NRT, which flies three times weekly between the two destinations.
The 55th anniversary fare is available now through March 19, 2023, for travel between March 10 and May 31, 2023, and is valid for weekday travel for a 21-day maximum stay. Fares are subject to the availability on United aircraft only. Seats are also capacity-controlled and may not be available on all flights and/or dates. Terms and conditions apply.
“As the cherry blossoms begin to bloom and the temperatures start to warm up, this is one of the most beautiful times of the year to visit Japan. Adventure and discovery await you in Japan!” Shinohara added.
United recently announced its 2023 Japan and Guam summer flight schedule, which becomes effective March 26, 2023. United will significantly increase its flights on all routes between Guam and Japan—NRT, NGO, KIX, and FUK—to a total of up to 56 flights a week.
United continues to offer three weekly flights between SPN and NRT. Flight schedules are subject to change without advance notice. Customers are encouraged to book their flights through united.com, the United app, through local travel agents, or at United’s City Ticket Office in Tiyan.
United reminds customers that Early Check-in service is available for all Guam travelers who are leaving on early morning flights. Passengers can check in the night before their flights to avoid long lines at the airport. Early Check-in service is offered daily from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at the United counter at the A. B. Won Pat International Airport, Guam. (PR)
