UOG creates online academic quality survey
The University of Guam is asking the community to participate in an online Academic Quality Survey. The purpose of the survey is to determine the community’s impression of how well UOG is supporting student learning. The survey will be used to: ensure faculty, student and community input; assist in identifying key issues regarding campus capacity; and assist in identifying areas needing improvement. Since the time I attended at your campus, there is a lot of improvement with your programs and especially with your online classes. If you may offer bachelors degree online, it will be very beneficial for our people throughout Micronesia. Online degree programs are being offered all over the United States and majority of the online programs are being offer by reputable brick and mortar universities and colleges (California State University, Chapman University, National University, University of Maryland University College, San Joaquin Delta College, Barstow Community College, etc.). It will be a big advantage for your institution to implement an online degree programs, so people who can not migrate to Guam for some other reasons may work towards a degree living hundreds or thousand miles away.
I had taken both online classes and regular traditional classes (over 150 semester units-lower division, upper division and graduate), there are no different in both format, but the only problem with the online program, is students have to be discipline planning their study habits. Online classes are for individuals who doesn’t need to be told when, how and where to do their school work.
In an economic sense, you will be generating more revenues from the geography that you may tap into which is world wide.
