Water service interruption

Posted on Apr 19 2019

Commonwealth Utilities Corp. customers in As Perdido, Koblerville, As Gonno, Afetnas, San Antonio, Chalan Kanoa, Susupe, San Jose, Oleai, and Chalan Laulau Beach Road (near the former Mayor’s Office) will be experiencing low water pressure to no water due to an airlock in the system.

The air was introduced into the distribution system Wednesday afternoon when the Isley Tank, which supplies water to these areas, went below critical level, related to the loss of power supply to the Obyan water wells as part of the Super Typhoon Yutu restoration efforts.

CUC water operations personnel have been working all day on slowly bleeding air pockets in the distribution system to help increase water pressure to the affected areas.

Water pressure is anticipated to be restored to normal working pressure to the affected areas within the next 24 hours.
