DOI supports CNMI on federal tax law

Malite defendants ask for dismissal of AGO lawsuit

The defendants in the controversial Malite case insisted on the dismissal of the lawsuit on the ground that it was not brought to court by a lawful attorney general, rebutting Pamela Brown’s claim that her Senate confirmation to the post beat the 90-day statutory deadline.

Finance remits $561,000 to PSS for ‘all others’

Vendors of the Public School System can now finally be paid after the Department of Finance remitted to PSS on Tuesday afternoon the amount of $561,000 for its “all others” account, according to PSS Director of Finance Richard Waldo.

Demapan amends suit to include DoF’s Atalig

Former Senate president Juan S. Demapan yesterday filed with the Superior Court a taxpayer’s lawsuit against Finance Secretary Fermin Atalig for paying the salary of Pamela Brown, whom he claims to be holding the attorney general post unlawfully.
