Maratita chosen to coach Hawaii’s Saint Francis boys and girls junior varsity teams

Hawaii’s Saint Francis High School has selected Saipan native son Edward Maratita Jr. to coach its boys and girls junior varsity basketball teams and serve as top assistant coach to head coach Paul Tanaka’s girls varsity team.

Clear skies, low scores for opening day

There were few surprises yesterday morning as some of Saipan’s top golfers opened up the first round of the 10th Annual Tournament of Champions with the lowest scores of the 282-player field at the LaoLao Bay Golf Resort.
