2 Saipan beaches red-flagged

The Division of Environmental Quality raised the red flag yesterday on beaches fronting the Tanapag Hall and Central Repair Shop on Saipan and advises the public not to fish or swim within 300 feet of these locations for the next 48 hours or until otherwise notified.

Closing arguments today

The jurors in the ongoing jury trial of Lt. Gov. Timothy P. Villagomez, James A. Santos, and Joaquina V. Santos could begin deliberations this afternoon, even as the closing arguments by the prosecution and defense lawyers are expected to drag on for several hours.

‘No public input on three-year $15M highway plan’

The Department of Public Works did not receive a single comment from Saipan residents on a three-year highway plan involving at least $15.154 million that includes the multi-million Cross Island or Back Road improvement and the Chalan Kalabera development.
