DPL, Suwaso sign new lease accord on Coral Ocean Point

The Department of Public Lands and Suwaso Corp. signed Friday a 15-year lease extension on the latter’s 25-year public land lease for Coral Ocean Point, following the Legislature’s nod on the lease extension.

Governor creates new office for public transportation

Gov. Benigno R. Fitial established last week a new office within the Office of the Governor to develop a viable public transportation system as mandated by a law he signed in May—a move which will also result in the abolition of the Office of Disability Policy and Programs by Oct. 1.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla on Aug. 18-20, from 7am to 12am, and on Aug. 24, from 7am to 12am. The Navy will conduct training at Warning Area 517 on Aug. 22-24, from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
