Kilili: 244 agri homesteads on Rota a step closer to reality

A 29-page memorandum of agreement between the CNMI and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service regarding habitat protection for the Mariana crow on Rota will allow for the release and future development of 244 agricultural homesteads on Rota, Delegate Gregorio Kilili Sablan (Ind-MP) said.

Justices find Fund liable to pay retiree’s disability benefits

The CNMI Supreme Court has affirmed the Superior Court’s determination that the NMI Retirement Fund is liable to pay retiree Michael P. Cody his disability retirement annuity in the amount of 66 2/3 percent of his salary.

Judge nixes request to extend eligibility for CW petitions

The federal court has denied a group of individuals’ motion that seeks to extend the period during which nonresident workers would be eligible for CNMI-only transitional worker status until the court has issued a final ruling on the legality of the CW final rule.
