Nothing recovered from $6.2M in misspent taxpayers’ money—again

In another six-month period, government agencies including the Office of the Attorney General failed to recover a single cent out of $6.2 million in taxpayers’ money that were misspent, overpaid to professional service contractors or unpaid land leases dating as far back as 1995.

Fitial admin explains Legislature’s almost $1M ‘overspending’

Gov. Benigno R. Fitial’s fiscal year 2011 report to the Legislature showed that the Legislature overspent almost $1 million in “personnel” but offset it with a surplus of almost the same amount in “all others” or “operations” expense for a total deficit of $11,156.

Healthcare corp. faces $15M shortfall on its 1st year alone
