Nothing on cost-cutting

The Tribune’s January 7-8 issue headlined that only one of 40 laws passed during calendar year 2011 was revenue-generating. More significant, however, is the fact that none of the laws passed during that time were cost-cutting.

Thank you

Last month I had some stomach pain and went to THC. The doctor was there and requested for a urinalysis. The nurses said I had kidney stones and the doc said to put me on an IV and prescribed pain medication. They then told me to drink a lot of water. I went home and did exactly that.

Sorenson Guam, be fair to the CNMI

It was already frustrating for me watching TV over the holidays and the straw that broke the camel’s back was to see the ABC network being delayed two weeks before broadcasting certain shows and sports events in the CNMI but that was not the case in Guam.

In our New Year’s scribble, we said, “save us from uncles, we pray.” A close colleague immediately observed that we meant Uncle Ben, but though we may indeed need to be saved from his inchoate policies, we will have to wait a few more years until the next gubernatorial election....
