CRA wants role as ‘creditor’ in Fund bankruptcy proceedings

Commonwealth Retirement Association board chair Lorenzo LG. Cabrera has asked the U.S. District Court for the NMI Bankruptcy Division to include the organization as a creditor in the NMI Retirement Fund’s Chapter 11 proceedings.

KKMP goes bald to raise money, awareness of childhood cancer

The stage at the 2012 Marianas March Against Cancer was transformed into a barbershop Friday night as management and staff of radio station KKMP had their heads shaved for their “Be Bold, Go Bald” campaign after exceeding their goal to raise $1,440 for cancer research for children.

COMMUNITY BRIEFS – May 1, 2012

The Saipan Chamber of Commerce will host its May general membership meeting tomorrow, May 2, 2012, at the Hyatt Regency Saipan Sandcastle Ballroom. Luncheon begins at 11:30am, and the meeting will begin at 12pm. Luncheon fees are $20 for SCC members, $30 for guests and the public.
