Achas promoted to GM of McDonald’s Middle Road
McDonald’s of Guam & Saipan has promoted Gisel Achas to general manager of its Middle Road location effective July 16, 2024.
In a statement, the fastfood restaurant’s local franchisee said Achas has over a decade of managerial experience across various departments and is well-prepared to assume this leadership role.
“She eagerly anticipates leveraging her skills to oversee the restaurant operations, ensuring continued success and fostering growth for her team and the organization. Gisel looks forward to embarking on this new chapter in her professional journey and is excited about the opportunity to make a significant impact in her expanded role,” said McDonald’s of Guam & Saipan.
When asked about her experience, Achas emphasizes the invaluable training opportunities provided by McDonald’s, particularly in customer service.
According to her, these experiences have not only honed her professional skills but also fostered meaningful connections with customers and coworkers from diverse backgrounds. As part of her development, on August 2023 Achas attended Hamburger University in Chicago, Illinois, where she gained valuable insights into leadership behavior, teamwork, and empowerment.
Achas has been an invaluable member of McDonald’s family since June 26, 2001. With dedication and a passion for excellence, Achas has steadily progressed through various roles within the company, from crewperson to area manager on July 1, 2007 to department manager on Nov. 23, 2015.
McDonald’s of Guam & Saipan, locally owned and operated by Jose and Marcia Ayuyu, and their son, Joe E. Ayuyu Jr., is the leading food service restaurant chain in the Mariana Islands. McDonald’s of Guam and Saipan have served the local communities for over 50 years in Guam and 30 years on Saipan and remains one of the islands’ largest employers. (PR)
