McDonald’s donates $5K for Red Cross 1980’s fundraising dinner

In honor of the 45th anniversary of the American Red Cross-NMI Chapter, McDonald’s has donated $5,000 to the American Red Cross-NMI as a “Pac-Man” sponsor for the upcoming 1980’s-themed fundraising dinner.

The dinner will be held on Nov. 18, 2023, at the Kensington Hotel Saipan. Doors open at 5:30pm.

The American Red Cross-NMI has been a beacon of hope of support for the Northern Marianas Islands community, providing emergency assistance, disaster relief, and critical services to those in need. Post-Typhoon Mawar on Rota and Guam had hundreds of volunteers called into action and were able to provide help to those impacted by the storm.

McDonald’s recognizes the vital role the American Red Cross-NMI Chapter plays in helping individuals and families during times of crisis, and is proud to contribute to their mission.

McDonald’s representative expressed their enthusiasm for supporting the American Red Cross NMI. “We believe in the power of communities coming together to make a difference. The American Red Cross-NMI [Chapter] has a long history of aiding those in need, and we are thrilled to be part of their ongoing mission,” said Marcia E. Ayuyu, McDonald’s of Saipan owner/operator.

“The Red Cross deeply appreciates the generosity of McDonald’s of Saipan for their recent $5,000 donation in support of our lifesaving programs here in the CNMI,” said Juan Diego Tenorio, disaster program manager. “McDonald’s supports our Blue Sky programs such as disaster preparedness and education, as well providing meals during catastrophic typhoon events. We are grateful for their partnership and participation in our programs.”
