Scheduled water service interruptions today in 7 areas

The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. would like to inform the general public of a revised schedule for the water service interruption. The original scheduled water service interruption on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024, has been rescheduled to today, Jan. 19, 2024.

The water service interruption will be from 8am to 3pm and affected areas are San Vicente, Papago (along Isa Dr.), Lao Lao, Tuturam, Upper Dandan, Obyan, and Naftan.

The purpose of the water service interruption is to facilitate the work of USA Fanter, CUC’s contractor for the Relocation of the Existing 0.065 MG Modular Water Tank Project. This involves cutting and capping existing waterlines and removing existing gate valves. The objective is to eliminate the transmission and distribution water lines connected to the temporary modular tank, which will be relocated to Kagman. The temporary tank will replace the existing 50,000-gallon steel bolted water tank in Kagman.

The Relocation of Existing 0.065 MG Modular Water Tank Project is funded by the United States PL Public Law 11-2 American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. The contract awarded to USA Fanter covers Phase 1 of the Kagman Water Tank Replacement Project, which includes relocating the existing 0.065 MG modular water tank, constructing the tank foundation, and installing piping and appurtenances.
