Transpac, BOG, TSL Foundation, Docomo, Bridge Capital donate to ARC Walkathon

The CNMI business community, despite difficult economic times, continues to support the American Red Cross-NMI Chapter’s 35th Annual Walkathon.

The Transpac Group of Companies (Coca-Cola, Subway, Foremost, Glimpses, and Scoops) has donated more than $10,000 worth of products.

They provided 29 6-foot Subway sandwiches for all the Saipan walkers as well as Powerade hydration and Foremost blended coffee drinks and Scoops ice cream cones.

“We are thankful again this year to have the generous support of the Transpac group. They have supported the Red Cross Walkathon for more than 15 years. Our event wouldn’t be successful without their partnership and commitment to Red Cross programs and services” said John Hirsh, NMI Red Cross executive director.

In addition, Bank of Guam has donated $3,000, TSL Foundation $2,500, Docomo Pacific $2,000, and Bridge Capital, LLC $1,500 to the 35th Annual Walkathon.

“We are grateful to these leading NMI businesses that find value in supporting the Red Cross. We rely on their generosity to support our lifesaving work” said Joshua Wise, chairman of the Red Cross board of directors.

The Walkathon took place last Saturday, April 20, and started at 6am at American Memorial Park. A $20 donation includes refreshments, giveaways and a Walkathon T-shirt. A $75 donation includes a PIC waterpark pass and other prizes. (PR)
