The Kids Corner at the Cultural Heritage Month’s Family Fun Day held last Sept. 24 at the Carolinian Utt celebrated the culture and heritage of Carolinians and Chamorros through fun and games with the family.
Live entertainment was one of the attractions at the Family Fun Day.
The canoe race was done per family and challengers were given a chance to go up against the winners.
Kids and those interested were taught how to properly handle a paddle during the Family Fun Day.
Family teams were constructed to compete in the coconut competition, in which different members were to work together to obtain, husk, and grate a coconut. The fastest family was pronounced the winner.
Fun and games were also available for children.
Catch-the-pig was one of the anticipated events in which both children and adults could join.
The pig was given a few minutes per round to rest before letting the next person to attempt catching it.
