Extremely concerned
The Tinian Casino Gaming Control Commission is extremely concerned concerning the Grand Jury’s recently returned superseding indictment against the Tinian Dynasty Hotel and Casino. We are monitoring the situation and will conduct a review of the license and consider what impact this imictment may have on that license.
The recent indictment concerns failures of the Tinian Dynasty to fill out various reports concerning currency transactions and its failure s to maintain an effective anti-money-laundering program. While these particular alleged violations are not violations of the Tinian Casino Gaming Act which is administered by the Tinian Casino Gaming Commission, any serious violations of federal laws which call into question the integrity of the casino operations or which might endanger the public, are matters of great concern to the Commission.
There is a group of investors and operators who are now applying for licenses on behalf of the Tinian Dynasty and we want t make sure that these new Casino Applicants, should their applications be approved, are knowledgeable about these federal requirements and in compliance with them.
Mathew C. Masga
Chairman, Tinian Casino Gaming Control Commission
Chairman, why now the heightened concern. We need to hold them compliant to begin with… I’ll check here in Saipan, with the new casino…..
Not you guys concern, this was done by the past “owners” at another date and time and as reported by you guys, are not in violation of locals or TGC laws.
Also it is the TGC that need to get off their but and get on this transfer of license. To much screwing around already. There is no excuse, just gross incompetence by no nothing recycled misfits taking their turn at the “trough” as their number comes up fora lucrative high pay do nothing seat worming position.
Buenas Mr. Masga,
For every businesses there are standard operating procedures and laws to be follow or abide. I wonder all this years what becomes of all the earnings that the municipal government earned from Dynasty? Did anyone on the Gaming Commissioners knew what was going on and turn a blind eye on the situation. I thought that the job of the Tinian Gaming Commission is to monitor and to make sure that the casino is in compliance with the laws. Are you aware that there is such crime of omission? I hope the feds would go to bottom of this fiasco and if warranted, charge anyone who suppose to monitor the casino and knowing that statutes were being violated and turning a blind eye on the situation. There is a need for accountability on the Tinian Gaming Commission part.
