IT&E is pleased to announce that it has completed a significant expansion of the coverage area of its 4G LTE wireless network. IT&E has completed the installation and testing of two new sites in Marpi. These two sites work together to cover the entire northern portion of Saipan including all of the most popular tourist sites in the Marpi area.
John Compton, IT&E’s COO, stated, “these new sites represent only a part of the multi-million dollar investment that IT&E is making in the CNMI this year. Other parts of this year’s investment in the CNMI include the installation of at least five more new sites and our ongoing project to install fiber optic cable throughout Saipan. Compton went on to say; “All of our employees work very hard every day to provide the best possible service to our customers. This announcement is just the latest example of the hard work of our employees and the ever improving service that they are providing to our customers.”
Rose Soledad, general manager of CNMI Operations, also commented, “we are pleased to be serving the northern most part of Saipan—the Marpi area. “Our newly deployed COWs (Cellular Site on Wheels) dramatically improves the signal strength and coverage in the area. As we all know, Marpi is a beautiful spot and a major tourist destination offering spectacular views from Suicide Cliff and a dramatic ocean view at Banzai Cliff. In addition to being able to make phone calls and send and receive texts in Marpi, now both tourists and residents alike can enjoy taking pictures and sending them right away. We also believe that this new coverage will improve public safety in Marpi which is a benefit to the entire community.”
IT&E offers its customers the only 4G LTE Network in the CNMI. In addition to its superior wireless services, IT&E also offer Internet service, landline telephone service, and business phone system sales and support.
