It’s man amko, not manamkos
Correct me if I’m wrong, but the word manamkos is not a Chamorro word. There is no “s” in man amko. The word by itself is plural. If you›re talking about a group of elderly in English and want to use the word, then “man amko” should be used; however, if you want to talk about a single elderly, then «i amko» should be used.
I’m surprised bilingual teachers haven’t spoken up about this as I’ve heard “manamkos” used by adult Chamorros as well as have the word printed with the “s” added in. PSS, take note!
