MVA partners with Samsonite

The Marianas Visitors Authority has partnered with Samsonite Korea, the worldwide leader in superior travel luggage and accessories, on a consumer promotion targeting summer vacation season. Five lucky winners of the promotion will receive a Saipan travel voucher including airline tickets and accommodation for two people to spend a wonderful holiday in this resort destination.
Samsonite Korea recently opened up its very first concept store, Life is @Journey, in Lotte Department Store in Seoul and Busan for one-stop travel shopping. Guests can not only purchase travel goods, but also book their trip at an agency located within the Life is @Journey store. This month The Marianas destination is being exposed with vivid images, and the event is being promoted at the store through plasma displays and printed material such as pop-up banners.
“The MVA’s tie up with Samsonite is another great partnership with a world-renowned brand aimed at enhancing our image and reaching more of the travelling public. It’s a tremendous exposure opportunity,” said MVA managing director Christopher A. Concepcion. “Any customer who makes a purchase of $200 or more from the Life is @Journey store from June 4 to June 30 will have a chance to win The Marianas travel voucher and visit our beautiful islands.”
The MVA and Samsonite Korea will randomly select the winners among the qualified and notify the winners through a posting on Facebook and Instagram on July 10.
“We are very excited to work with Marianas Visitors Authority, as the destination is very vibrant and loved by Korean travelers all time around,” said Samsonite officials.
So far this fiscal year, nearly 200,000 visitors from South Korea have visited The Marianas, comprising 48 percent of all visitors to the destination.
