The “Pwo” initiation rites for Antonio “Tony” Urmeyang Piailug is held starting last Saturday at the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs’ Commonwealth Council for Arts and Culture Seafaring Traditions Canoe House in Susupe. The ceremony, which will conclude on Oct. 8, is the first one ever held in the CNMI.
