Restoring Kagman Community Park

Dear Mr. Jesse Palacios, director, Northern Marianas Housing Corporation:

I write this letter in support of your intent to request the release of funds under the Community Development Block Grant, Title 1, of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 (PL 93-383), as amended, to expand and restore the Kagman Community Park.

Community parks are important in that they provide children opportunities for hands-on learning, promote public health, community engagement, and so forth. Furthermore, the revitalization of the Kagman Community Park will have no adverse environmental impact.

This is a long awaited project, and I fully support the commencement and completion.
