Slavery in South Korea

One of the most interest-capturing articles dealing with a Pacific Rim country seemed to escape your coverage. Or maybe I missed your coverage? It deals with the prolonged slavery of the disabled in the southern islands off the coast of South Korea. Little or no food, no pay, freezing housing, long hard days in the salt fields.

Please consider raising this important topic dealing with slavery, the disabled, and a first-world country we are involved with, who’s our neighbor.  After the atrocious ferry accident killing over 300 students followed by the Seoul subway tragedy…and the fact that the Koreans don’t currently circulate money in our economy but capture it in Korea, a little pressure wouldn’t hurt, a little light where there’s darkness would be helpful.
