That’s how you get things done in Congress

Piggybacking? Of course, I piggyback.

That’s how you get things done in Congress.

That’s how I got E-NAP, making more food assistance available for more families—by piggybacking on the 2014 Farm Bill.

That’s how I got the funding formula for island schools changed, by piggybacking on the Every Student Succeeds Act.

That is how the entire federal government was funded in 2014. Leadership called me and said: Congressman, would it be okay if we piggyback the omnibus appropriation bill on to H.R. 83, the territories bill that extends the CW program from 2014 to 2019?

Piggybacking? Anyone who understands how to be successful in Washington piggybacks all the time, whenever they can.

  1. In the “other” newspaper, Kilili has quite a few detractors, but I am not one of them. I like Kilili and will vote for him again next November.

This reminds me. I see that his congressional delegate opponent, Angel Demapan, has already put up signs along the roadsides.

The election is EIGHT MONTHS away, and almost everybody knows who Angel is.

Is there a point to this overkill? Will have to endure Mr. Demapan’s face every time we drive around the island?

For me, the signs alone are a reason to NOT vote for this Egotistical opportunist.
