Whatever happened to ‘Students First’?

We the students at MHS would like to express how angry we are to why the PSS is spending money on unnecessary things. It is ridiculous knowing that they are building a gym in Kobler when there are not enough teachers to go around. Why is there a shortage of staff? Whatever happened to “Students First”? We are angered to know that there are more important things it could be spent on. How can they build a gym when there are up to 40 students crammed into one clas, never any tissues in the restroom, or why are there two classes crammed into one class such as our A.P. U.S. History Class? Why are there two different classes crammed into one class? It is really upsetting to know that students aren’t the priority anymore. The ratio of students to counselors is ridiculous. The students are not the priority anymore and it’s absolutely ridiculous.

  1. Buenas,
Off course, in the eyes of PSS administration and its board members, students are on the bottom of the list. No money for toilet papers, no money to lower the teacher to students ratio, but there are lot of money for the board members and PSS Administration off island travel. Oh, there are more money to pay for more PSS Vehicles for personal use.

Whatever happen to Public Law 18-66(Increased funding for PSS) and our kids are struggling at MHS? House Rep. Education committee chairs – Ms. Ogumoro and Mr. Taimanao – Wake up and do something please for the sake of our future generations!!
