MHS PTA meeting this Wednesday
Marianas High School is reminding the parents of its students that there will be a PTA meeting this Wednesday, April 22, 2015, starting at 6pm at the Counseling office. MHS Chorale, Pep Band, Glee Club, and Chamorro Club members and their parents and guardians required to attend this meeting. (MHS)
Kagman High carnival, music bash this Friday
To all Kagman High School stakeholders, parents and alumni, this Friday, April 24, 2015, will be the Annual KHS Cultural Day Carnival and Music Bash celebration! From 12pm to 3pm KHS opens its doors to the public to celebrate cultural awareness, musical talent and carnival spirit.
The Music Bash is how KHS celebrates the musical talent that abounds on this campus. Over 10 acts are lined up for this Friday.
The Carnival is our celebration of parent involvement at the school for this year’s literacy events. If you attended any Partners In Print sessions and received your free tickets, come and spend them at the carnival this Friday! Kagman High invites the general public to attend. Visitors are welcome! OAG temporary relocation
The Office of the Attorney General’s Criminal division has temporarily relocated to the former Commonwealth Board of Election Office. The building is located between the CNMI Judiciary and the Multipurpose Center. Please contact the Criminal division at 237-7600 for further assistance.
CCA board meeting on April 28
The Commonwealth Cancer Association’s Board of Directors will be holding its regular board of directors meeting on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at 3pm at the CCA conference room. Agenda includes reports from the president and program updates. All board meetings are open to the public. OPA staff to be on Rota, Tinian
Staff of the Office of the Public Auditor will be on Rota on April 27-28, 2015, and on Tinian on April 29, 2015, to notarize and accept last-minute filings of financial disclosure statements from government officials.
Filers on Rota may visit the Rota Mayor’s Office from 9am to 4:30pm on Monday, April 27, 2015, and from 9am to 11am on Tuesday, April 28, 2015.
Filers on Tinian may visit the Tinian Mayor’s Office from 8:30am to 4:30pm on Wednesday, April 29, 2015.
All filers are reminded to bring with them some form of photo identification, such as a driver’s license or a passport. Failure to do so may result in the denial of notary services. (OPA)
Navy training at Warning Area 517
ASAN, Guam—The U.S. Navy will conduct training at Warning Area 517 today, April 22, from noon to 8pm. The general public, especially fishermen, commercial pilots, and marine tour operators, are advised to stay clear of the areas during the dates and times indicated. W-517 is an irregular shaped polygon comprised of 14,000 nautical square miles of airspace that begins south of Guam and extends south-southwest in international waters. This will affect fishing in the vicinity of Santa Rosa Reef and Galvez Bank. (PR)
