Military training at FDM
ASAN, Guam—The military will conduct training at Farallon de Medinilla during the following dates and times:
– June 29 from 8:30 to 11:55pm
– June 30, from 8 to 11:55pm
It is recommended the public, fishermen, and marine tour operators monitor the Coast Guard broadcast notice to mariners for advisories.
The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla will be in a 12-nautical mile radius of the island. (PR)
Notaries reminded to submit journals
The Office of the Attorney General is reminding all notaries public commissioned in the Commonwealth that they are required to submit a copy of their journals on or before June 30, 2017. The law requires notaries public to submit their journal copies each year by June 30 or face sanctions, including revoking the notary public commission, or the assessment of a fine of $100 to $500. NBG sets concert, fireworks on July 4
SANTA RITA, Guam—U.S. Naval Base Guam will host its next open-base event, the Freedom Rocks Festival, on July 4 at Polaris Point. This free event is open to the Guam community. Armed Forces Entertainment will present a concert by the alternative rock band Papa Roach, starting at 7pm. Fireworks will commence soon after the concert. There will be static displays of Navy equipment, a car show, rides for kids, food vendors (from various American and Chamorro eateries), and various beverages (including water, soda, and beer). Gates at Polaris Point open at 3pm, and the event starts at 4pm. A valid ID (such as a Guam driver’s license, except children under 16) is required to enter Polaris Point for this free event—all patrons must be U.S. citizens. (PR)

Green Meadow School is now accepting registration for new and returning students for first to eighth grade for school year 2017-2018. Visit the GMS business office in Chalan Kiya or Gualo Rai and pick up the registration form. We are also opening registration for first grade at the Gualo Rai branch. OES now accepting registrations
Oleai Elementary School is now accepting registration for new and returning students for school year 2017-2018. Parents and guardians of returning students are also asked to update registration and all supporting documents. Registration forms are available at our main office. MHS report cards now available
Report cards for Marianas High School students are available. Registration for new incoming and returning students for Marianas High School is ongoing until July 31, 2017. KHS registration
All parents and guardians of Kagman High School students are being informed that KHS is open for enrollment and accepting registrations all summer. It is ideal to get your registration submitted ASAP to get your child scheduled in the optimum classes they need to graduate! So far we have received less than 150 registrations from returning students. We have also received very few registration forms from incoming freshmen!
