NMC Charter Day vendor applications due today

The Northern Marianas College is inviting vendors to take part in the college’s annual Charter Day celebration on Friday, May 16, 2014. 
Booth applications forms must be submitted by today, May 9, 2014, by 4pm. The booth fee is $150 for all commercial vendors but for student clubs and nonprofit organizations, booth fees are $75. Applications forms are available for download at www.marianas.edu, or can be picked up from the NMC Student Center in Building J. Do Re Mi Music School’s violin recital

The Do Re Mi Music School is having its 22nd Annual Concert today, May 9, and tomorrow, May 10, from 7pm to 9pm each evening at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe. Tickets are available by calling 233-7777 and will also be available at the door: $10 for adults and $5 for children. The concert will include pieces from Tchaikovsky, Paganini, Wentawski, and Mendelssohn, among others. (PR)

MCS club to stage The Little Mermaid Jr.

The Mount Carmel School’s Theatre Club presents Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. on Friday, May 9, and Saturday, May 10, at the Mount Carmel School Auditorium. Doors open at 6:30pm. Tickets cost $10 for preferred seating and $5 for general seating

The Little Mermaid Jr. will feature music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater, and book by Doug Wright. It is based on the Hans Christian Andersen story and the Disney film. Music adapted and arranged by David Weinstein.

CCA board meets on Tuesday

The Commonwealth Cancer Association’s board of directors will be holding its regular meeting on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at 3pm at the CCA conference room. Agenda includes reports from the president and program updates. All board meetings are open to the public. Memorial Week proclamation signing

The Office of the Governor and the Veterans Affairs Office has scheduled a Memorial Week proclamation signing on Monday, May 19, 2014, 10am, at the Office of the Governor’s conference room. All veterans, active and reserved military personnel, family members of those departed veterans, and the general public are invited to come and join this proclamation signing. (PR)
