Road closure for Quartermaster Road and Beach Road
The CNMI Department of Public Safety would like to inform the public of a temporary road closure between Quartermaster Road and Beach Road to allow construction crews to safely install a traffic light system.
Temporary road closures are scheduled to take place beginning Friday, April 22, through Tuesday, June 07, 2022.
Motorists traveling on Beach Road during the scheduled time of construction are advised to be mindful of delays, exercise caution, and safely follow the instructions of the flag personnel present. (PR)
MHS Drama Club presents comedy
The MHS Drama Club, Troup 5374, will be presenting a fanciful comedy based on the Harry Potter book series by J. K. Rowling, this Friday, April 22, with two performances at 5pm and 7pm. Come and enjoy. Tickets are available at MHS Room D102 or at the door on the night of the play.
From the original playbill: Puffs, or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic is a 2015 original play by New York-based playwright Matt Cox. The play is a comedic retelling of the Harry Potter book series by J. K. Rowling, but from the perspective of the “Puffs”. The play premiered at The People’s Improv Theater on Dec. 3, 2015. It moved to the Off-Broadway theater New World Stages in 2016. The show has been praised for its comedy and staging. It was nominated for the Off-Broadway Alliance Award for “Best Unique Theatrical Experience” in 2017. (PR)
JKPL closes at 12:30pm tomorrow
The Joeten-Kiyu Public Library will close at 12:30pm on April 23, 2022, due to JKPL’s 5K Literacy Fun Run/Walk event. JKPL will resume normal library hours on Tuesday, April 29, 2022. (PR)
