Emergency water service interruption
There was an emergency water service interruption yesterday, April 2, for customers along the areas of Beach Road from Atkins Kroll to YCO True Value Hardware and Middle Road from the Chalan Kiya traffic light to the Gualo Rai traffic light.
The cause of the interruption is from a 16-inch water mainline break located in front of Chong’s Refrigeration in Chalan Laulau that was identified yesterday morning.
Water operations personnel are making the necessary repairs and are expected to be completed this morning, April 3, at 6am. Commonwealth Utilities Corp. customers in the affected areas should expect restoration of services soon after.
For the safety of men and women working at the site, motorists are advised to proceed with caution when traveling through the area or to take alternative routes as the northbound lane will be closed.
