NMC closed on Thursday

Northern Marianas College employees will be participating in professional development activities on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014. All offices at NMC will be closed on that day. Thank you for your understanding.

MHS student orientation schedule

Marianas High School will be having the orientation for school year 2014-2015 as follow:

-Friday, Aug. 22: Incoming Sophomores and Juniors, 9:30am–11am, School Gym

-Friday, Aug. 22: Incoming Seniors, 1pm–2:30pm, School Gym

-Tuesday, Aug. 26: Incoming Freshmen, 9:30am–11:30am, School Gym. (PR)

Free Movie Night at KHS

Bored already from summer nights? Come to Kagman High School for Movie Night! It is free and families are welcome! Bring your mats, lawn chairs and money for snacks! We will be selling drinking and snacks during the movie. Will be showing How To Train Your Dragon. See you at sunset! (PR)

Air Force training on Farallon de Medinilla

ASAN, Guam—The U.S. Air Force will conduct training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla on Aug. 6 and 8, from 11am to 6pm.

The general public especially fishermen, commercial pilots and marine tour operators are advised to stay clear from the area during the times and dates indicated.

The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla training area will be on a 10 nautical mile radius on all quadrants. (PR)

Family grief support meeting on Aug. 7

A group that is in the process of forming a Compassionate Friends chapter on Saipan will be holding their monthly grief support meeting on Thursday, Aug. 7, from 6pm to 7:30pm, in the NMPASI conference room on Middle Road, in Gualo Rai.
