Xavier entrance exam on Feb. 25
The Xavier High School entrance written exam will be administered on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 8:30am at Mt. Carmel School.  Interested test takers are encouraged to bring several No. 2 pencils, snacks, and water. Exam fee is $10.

There are two parts to the exam (English and math).  Each exam lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes with a 15-minute break in between.  Test takers should be prepared to be on the Mt. Carmel school grounds for three hours and 30 minutes from 8am to 11:30pm.  Exam starts exactly at 8:30am.

Kagman cluster schools set PTSA meeting
This is to inform all parents, guardians, and the community that the Kagman cluster schools will be having a PTSA meeting on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017, from 3:30pm to 4:30pm at ChaCha Ocean View Middle School cafeteria followed by mid-progress report for ChaCha OceanView Middle School from 4:30pm to 6pm. Bodybuilding federation to host fundraiser
The Northern Marianas Bodybuilding & Physique Federation will be holding a “Party in the Park” on Feb. 25, 2017, from 6pm to 9pm, at the Garapan Central Park (Roundhouse) to raise funds for our bodybuilders to compete in local and international competitions. The cost is $20 per person.

The federation is preparing for the 3rd Annual Marianas Muscle competition to be held on March 25, 2017, and in July it will be holding the CNMI bodybuilding championships. These events will be officially sanctioned by NMBPF and will determine those competitors who will be eligible to represent the CNMI in international competitions.

McFun Run to take place on Feb. 18
The Rotary Club of Saipan and McDonald’s Saipan will be hosting the Annual McFun Run on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, along Saipan’s beautiful Beach Road pathway. This event for 5K and 10K runs along the pathway from the Carolinian utt in Garapan to the 5K turnaround by the National Office Supply or the turnaround at the Oleai Beach Bar and Grill and back to the Carolinian utt. Registration begins at 5am at the Carolinian utt. Start time is 6:15am. Registration forms are available or can be picked up at all Saipan McDonald’s branches, MegaByte, or NMPSI office. (PR)

Deadline to apply for CHAP Fellowship
The Northern Marianas College’s Cooperative Research, Extension, and Education Service is reminding all NMC students that the deadline to apply for the Child Health Assessment in the Pacific Undergraduate Summer Fellowship Program is on Feb. 15, 2017. Students that get accepted into the program will be awarded with a $2,100 stipend. All travel, meal, and housing expenses for a seve-day training opportunity at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa will be covered through the fellowship. Christian school to hold mission on Saipan
The Okinawa Christian School International has sent a mission team of 10 high school students and two chaperones to Saipan. This team will be working with the Commonwealth Advocates for Recovery Efforts. On Thursday, Feb. 16, they will hold a beach party for teenagers after school until 5pm at the beach across MHS. This event will include prizes, games, snacks, and a youth challenge.

On Friday, Feb. 17, OCSI will host a free Pizza Party Youth event at Kagman Community Church from 7pm to 9pm. This is also open to all middle school and high school students.
