It’s getting worse
Guam’s problems just keep getting worse. Guam has closed some but not all of its fire and police stations. Now they are talking about discontinuing the school buses, turning off the streetlights, and closing recreational facilities.
There has also been talk of a government-wide shutdown. I do not know of any municipality anywhere in the United States that has closed down its own government. Just be thankful we are all on Saipan.

Guam is owed billions by the feds, e.g., compact impact funds where Uncle Sam is usually woefully tardy. It’s the taxpayers that pay for it until our lazy and tardy uncle finds convenience to listen, if at all. I wouldn’t revel on the misfortune of others. Uncle Sam is the screwball!
