US Naval Base Guam front gate closure, traffic pattern change
SANTA RITA, Guam—The U.S. Naval Base Guam (NBG)-Main Base front gate will be closed from 4am, Oct. 6 through 4am, Oct. 9 for construction. The back gate will be open for traffic during this time.
In addition, the traffic pattern at the NBG-Main Base front gate will change effective Tuesday, Oct. 9. There will be three inbound lanes and one outbound lane Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 8am.
Improving base access in support of improved military readiness, and ensuring the safety and security of military and civilian personnel remains a top priority. As NBG implements this new traffic flow at the entry control point (ECP), all drivers accessing NBG installations are reminded to pay attention to the traffic pattern, follow Security’s directions, pay attention to all posted signs, stop at the Security sentry’s position, provide a valid ID and proceed only when cleared by the sentry.
