Temporary closure of Micro Beach restrooms 

The American Memorial Park management would like to inform the public that the Micro Beach public restrooms are temporarily closed beginning yesterday, April 5, 2021. Improvements are a part of Super Typhoon Yutu recovery efforts. Restrooms will be closed for the duration of the work which may take several weeks. 

Public restrooms at the American Memorial Park tennis courts will remain open 24 hours a day seven days a week and at the Visitor Center from 9am-4pm on Monday, Friday, and Saturday. (NPS)

Saipan Chamber of Commerce meeting tomorrow

The Saipan Chamber of Commerce will have its April General Membership Meeting tomorrow, April 7, 2021 at the Hyatt Regency Saipan Ballroom. Guest speaker for the event is CNMI Procurement and Technical Assistance Center director Sixto Igisomar, who will be sharing updates about the newest business-support center on island as well as how businesses can best position themselves to win federal contracts. 

The Northern Marianas Humanities Council will also be sharing their plans and upcoming projects that navigate and explore the human experiences of the indigenous and diverse peoples of the Commonwealth.

Due to COVID-19 protocols, RSVP is required to attend the GMM. To RSVP, register by 12pm today, April 6. Due to COVID-19 room capacity restrictions, we are capping our RSVPs at 100 guests. (PR)

SINMI monthly meeting this Thursday

The monthly meeting of the Soroptimist of the Northern Mariana Islands, or SINMI, is this Thursday, April 8, at noon, at the new Island Cafe on Middle Road in their private back room. You can park around the back side of the restaurant.

We will be ordering from the menu. Please join us.  We are looking to grow our club and will be discussing our big “Fun-Raiser,” the Margaritaville, May 14, from 5:30pm to 9:30pm. Tickets are $25 with bottomless margaritas, finger food, and raffle prizes. All funds raised go toward their Live Your Dream Award in October.

Soroptimist  International is a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment.  They celebrate their 100th birthday this year. (PR)
