Infant and Child CPR class on Tuesday

The American Red Cross is scheduled to conduct Preparedness Health and Safety training on infant and child CPR/AED on Tuesday, May 20, at 6pm. Classes are held at the chapter training room on Airport Road. Course fees apply. Teams sought for Memorial Day softball tourney

The Fallen Heroes Memorial Group have scheduled a goodwill Memorial Day weekend softball tournament from May 23 through May 25 at the Capital Hill softball field. Registration is open to softball players who would like to form a team. The team entrance fee for the three-day tournament is $150 and is due today, May 16. Proceeds from this event will go toward supporting the Memorial Day ceremony scheduled on May 26 at the Veteran’s Cemetery, Marpi.

A coach’s meeting is scheduled for today, May 16, at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium’s conference room at 6:30pm. Prospecting teams are encouraged to send a representative to the meeting to discuss tournament rules. Mandatory forms will be handed out as well. Election Commission office in Susupe open Saturdays

The Commonwealth Election Commission Office in Susupe will be open every Saturday from 10am to 2pm for those CNMI residents who would like to register to vote for the 2014 General Election to be held on Nov. 4, 2014. Registration for the Northern Marianas Descent Registry will also be accepted.

CNMI residents who wish to register to vote must provide a copy of a valid U.S. passport or a certificate of live birth as proof of U.S. citizenship. Those who wish to register for the Northern Marianas Descent Registry must provide a copy of their certificate of live birth. PSS Early Intervention Program on Tinian

The Public School System’s Early Intervention Program, in collaboration with the Division of Public Health Services, invites the public to attend an evening presentation on Child Development on May 19 at JC Café’s conference room from 5pm to 6:30pm. Space is limited. Call us for reservations.

A team of professionals will also provide free developmental screenings and hearing screening at the Tinian Health Center on May 20, from 8:30am to 3pm. For an appointment, call Tessa Diaz at 433-9233 or feel free to walk in.
