Japan Consulate to offer class on Japanese culture

The Consular Office of Japan in Saipan will organize a class about Japanese culture on May 28, 2015, from 2:30pm to 4:30pm. Anyone interested must register their name by Monday, May 25, 2015, by contacting

The class—which will be held at the Consular Office of Japan’s conference room on the second floor of the Bank of Hawaii Building, Mariana Heights Business Park, Puerto Rico, Saipan—will be open to just 15 people on the first-come, first-served basis. Participants will be taught Origami (paper folding), Japan video topics, etc. (PR)

Marianas High School will be distributing its 4th quarter mid-progress report cards on May 14, 2015, at the MHS Dolphin Gymnasium from 4pm to 6pm. CNMI Museum board meeting schedule

The CNMI Museum of History and Culture will be holding a regular meeting of its board of governors on Friday, May 8, at 9am at the NMI Humanities Council conference room. The agenda will include the election of officers, a review of the museum work plan and preparations for the development of a strategic plan, and upcoming projects. Air Force training at Farallon de Medinilla

ASAN, Guam—The U.S. Air Force will conduct training at the island of Farallon de Medinilla during the following dates and times:

-May 7, from 10am to 2pm

– May 8, from 10am to 4pm

The general public, especially fishermen, commercial pilots, and marine tour operators are advised to stay clear of the areas during the dates and times indicated. (PR)
