Acme Roofing will try to keep its record clean when it faces MHS 67 Doh-Fins at the resumption of games today in the 2008 Miller Lite Four-Person Beach Volleyball League at the Pacific island Club sand court.

The team of Larry Sheri, Jazz Roskow, Rob Jordan, Luthor Taylor, J.R. Ngeskebei, Elizabeth Henke, Jenni Brown, and Dana McFadden are currently setting the pace after winning their first three assignments.

They opened up their campaign with a 13-21, 21-8, 21-19 win over Thai One On last Sept. 23 and followed that up with a masterful 21-17, 21-17, 12-21 against Enyophace two days later.

Doh-Fins hopes to score an upset as it aims for its first win in the league and try to take advantage of a rusty Acme Roofing team, which was on a bye in the last playing date, Oct. 2.

On its last playing schedule last Sept. 30, Acme Roofing won by forfeiture at the expense of Champ-on whose players showed-up but did not have a lady player, which disqualified them from playing.

Acme Roofing earned points in the process, 21-0, 21-0, 21-0.

Tournament rules require a team to enter a lady player in a game.

Accordingly, every set won by a team has a bearing. This is especially so in breaking ties on win-loss records.

The encounter between Acme Roofing and the ninth-running Doh Fins (0-2) is set to start at 7:30pm.

Before that, Karakuchi will test the mettle of MHS Oakies at 5:30pm, while MHS Peers will tangle with MHS Serves Up! At 6:30pm.

In the nightcap at 8:30pm, Off Twice will meet Thai One On.
