Seabridge sponsors Rota Major League

The Rota Mayor’s Office along with the Rota Major League is pleased to recognize Seabridge, Inc, as the official sponsor of the 2002 Rota Major League.

The league, which will now be known as the Seabridge Major League of Luta, gets underway this evening. CNMI Lt. Governor Diego Benavente and Rota Mayor Benjamin Manglona will throw out the ceremonial inaugural pitch to start the season, according to league President Chris Ogo.

The league’s first game between, Pepsi and the Natives gets underway shortly after the inaugural pitch at 5pm. The 2002 Seabridge Major League of Luta will consist of 5 teams, Pepsi, Chrishera, Natives, Napu and Filcor playing 12 regular season games, followed by the league playoffs and championship round.

Seabridge, Inc, provides cargo transportation between Guam, Saipan, Rota and Tinian, servicing Rota bi-weekly with the MV Super Shuttle.

According to Seabridge General Manager Paul Blas, “Seabridge is proud to sponsor the Seabridge Major League of Luta, and we are committed to supporting the people of Rota. We hope the people of Rota will enjoy this year’s baseball league. I’d like to thank Mayor Benjamin Manglona and the Rota Major League for giving Seabridge this opportunity.”
