Last April 22, the “Duel of Boxers” finally unfolded at the Garapan Central Park Roundhouse with Tinian’s pride Bert “The Punisher” Cano beating Robert Dalisay, a rated challenger from the Philippines, in the main event.

Not one but two tennis tournaments unfolded last Sunday with the CNMI-UMDA Junior Tennis Championship crowning Ralph Buenaventura and Mayuko Arriola as the year’s fines 18-and-under netters.

The 2nd Annual Toyota Tennis Tournament also rolled to its third week with singles and mixed doubles play headlining the event organized by the Saipan Tennis Association.

Verizon so far is perfect in the Saipan Softball Association Slow-Pitch Softball League, winning its third straight against Chura Thursday at the Tan Ge field.
