Felix Remoket, the third person involved in the importation of controlled substance, got the shortest jail term of one year and one day.

His sentence came after the court ordered his brother Johnny Remoket to spend 46 months in jail, while sister-in-law Rizalinda Remoket will count 87 months under the custody of the Bureau of Prisons.

Standing before U.S. District Court Judge Alex Munson, he was told to take advantage of his year of stay by availing counseling and vocational courses inside.

The three Remokets were convicted for the importation of “ice” that took place sometime in April 1998, after a parcel from the Philippines was found containing over 100 grams of the controlled substance.

However, their prompt acceptance of the crime and full cooperation to the Federal investigation secured them the minimum punishment for drug traffickers.
