Juneteenth Celebration
The African-American Association in the CNMI will lead the National Juneteenth Celebration tomorrow at Susupe Recreational Beach Park.
Activities will start at 11:00 AM with food preparation, volleyball tournament, dodge ball competition, sign up team formation and other sports activities.
There will be barbecue between 2:30 PM and 3:00 PM. Participants are urged to bring food and beverages.
Speeches to commemorate the event will be delivered between 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
License renewal
The Department of Commerce announced yesterday that it is now accepting applications for Alcoholic Beverage Control license renewals.
Application forms may be obtained at the DOC building on Capitol Hill.
Deadline for filing renewal applications and payment of fee is June 30.
The government warned business operators that their licenses will be suspended if they fail to settle their renewal fees.

Auditions on
Auditions will open for Steel Magnolia, a stage play focusing on the relationship of six women who have shared humor and sorrow all their lives until diabetes brings tragedy to the family.
The Friends of the Arts, which will produce Steel Magnolia, invites those interested to audition in the play which will be staged in the fall.
Auditions will be held on June 18 from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, on June 19 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, and on June 20 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.
Auditions will be held at room 101 H of Marianas High School.
The cast will consist of six women from ages 17 to 70.
